I love this idea!! there should be more experimentation on this

I can’t speak for everyone, but I am certainly not 100% heterosexual. I find women more attractive than men, and could certainly imagine having *** with another woman.

  3. Simon Says:

i say its something you cant help if you are attracted to the same ***…who cares about the statistics…if you feel a certain way be happy :)

Sounds just about right to me, at least when it comes to women.

  5. Shamgaur Says:

Sounds like a lie to me. Most people I know aren’t bi or ***. I would say it’s more like 85% hetero, 8% Bi, 7% ***. Of course I am just pulling these numbers out of my behind, but hey, based on the Doc’s “educated authoritative” opinion I would say their just as valid. We live in a sexually confused society. Crap like this just adds to it.

Have you ever looked at the same *** and thought “wish my legs/butt/pecs/eyes… looked like that”? There are those who would argue you are at least bisexual because of that. I would need to know more about this study before I could say either way.

However, I do think those numbers are not far from being off. Maybe 50% bi. I don’t think there is as many heterosexuals as homosexuals. If there was then there wouldn’t be a problem with same *** marriages. But that’s just my opinion.

No, I haven’t seen this. Maybe the scientist is right because I think that anyone who is attracted to the female knows true beauty. Anyone attracted to the male form needs to have their head examined.

I’ll buy it as a testable hypothesis.

I’ll abstain from giving my view of same-sex relationships. Mostly, that’s none of my business. (My own current ipsisexual relationships are not erotically charged; feel free to include that datum in your research.)

Basically, this ” Dr” needs a refresher course in statistics. This is quite skewed from the reality of the situation. Sounds like another Joan Roughgarden; making your facts up as you go along because you had a ” transcendental ” experience at the *** pride parade in SF!

The argument fails to make a distinction between sexual orientation and sexual behavior. There are *** people who live their whole lives in hetero relationships, and there are straight people who have ********** *** for any number of reasons. Just because a person’s behavior crosses the line once or twice, it does not automatically make them bisexual.
Look back in history…would you label Caligula gay, bisexual or just obsessively horney? How does this Dr. define bisexuality?

To me, bisexuality means the capacity to be physically AND romantically attracted to a person of either ***. Some same -sex relationships (just like some hetero relationships) are only about sexual gratification, not about romance or being “life partners.” It puts a different spin on things when you define sexual orientation based on who you want to pair off with for the long term.

The devil is in the details…..everyone will have their own definitions, and they may or may nor match with the definition used to produce the statistics.

    …and lol @ Robert C

As far as I know the distribution is bimodal and skewed quite a bit to hetero (think of a large peak on the left and a smaller one on the right) with the people inbetween fairly evenly dispersed. However this depends on the group of people in question. Many more people in society are inclined towards non-hetero fantasies than get the opportunity to express it as behaviour, and the reverse is true in jail where many guys are ‘prison gay’ in their behaviour but aren’t inclined to fantasising about guys at all.

Of course if you ask people outright most people will deny even the smallest inclination away from heterosexuality, so the Dr will have to convince respondents that the survey is totally anonymous and confidential.

  12. cltchperf Says:

I don’t know, maybe that is what the case is for many people, but as far as myself, that is untrue. And I probably don’t know for sure, but for the people I know, family and friends, etc, they don’t have any sexual attraction to the same ***.

Elf, it just seems like sugar coating the fact with this love/emotional attraction thing to mean one’s sexual orientation. I don’t know, call me technical, but bisexual is sexual attraction/lust/desire to the same ***. The reason I say this is because while someone might prefer or have a great preference for one *** of the other for a relationship.

The chance or possibility, even if minute is still there if there is some sexual attraction., I have seen it or heard where some women were much more attracted to women and never though they could or would have a relationship with a man and jjust some unque guy was thexception, but the fact was that the woman still was much more attracted to women, but obviously has soem sexual attraction to men. And everything between with people. If you don’t have a sexual attraction to the same sex, then there is absouletly 0 chance of having a relationship with the same, obviously, whereas, even if minute the gateway to that possibilty is there unlike people who are completely straight.

  13. Tiss Says:

    I’m not buying it.
